How can we combine laravel and node.js

I have recently purchased a template from themeforest.net that is designed using Node.JS and AngularJS and is using Material Design Framework. It is Admin Page template.

I am creating a software using Laravel Framework for which I purchased the template. The problem that is occurring is that I need to combine Laravel and Node.js for making the software work and look good. I searched everywhere to find a niche tutorial on this particular topic but was unable to find one. I also followed this tutorial: http://ift.tt/1urO5bA but it is for laravel 4 and since laravel has changed a lot of things (like directory structure) in Laravel 5 it is hard to follow. It will be a great help if someone help me out with this as I have spent a lot of money in this template so I have to go on with this one only. Thanks in advance.
