BladeCompiler error after upgrading to Laravel 5.1.11

Have upgraded to Laravel 5.1.11 recently and although I followed the instructions to the letter I have encountered a lot of fatal errors. With the help of google and StackExchange, I was able to solve some but this:

Call to undefined method Illuminate\View\Compilers\BladeCompiler::createMatcher()
