(Laravel) After upgrading to 5.3 getting error Target[Illuminate\Contracts\Dispatcher] is not instantiable

After upgrading from 5.2 to 5.3 I have been getting the following error when attempting to view the password reset page

Target[Illuminate\Contracts\Dispatcher] is not instantiable

However, it has been added to aliases and providers arrays in the app.php file.

We have exactly the same project on another computer in the office, and it is working perfectly fine. So somehow, this issue is unique to my computer. Not too sure what is going on here.
