Laravel mix change output folder

I have a laravel project where i renamed the public folder to public_html, i have started using laravel mix to compile scss and vue files, the problem, each time i use npm run dev it create the public folder again.

this is my webpack.mix.js

let mix = require('laravel-mix');
mix.js('resources/assets/js/app.js', 'public_html/js')
   .sass('resources/assets/sass/app.scss', 'public_html/css');

when i run npm run dev it generate this folder structure

public/
    _html/
        js/
            app.js
    public_html/
        css/
            app.css
public_html/

Do i have to do something else? i have modified in the AppServiceProvider the public path using

$this->app->bind('path.public', function() {
    return base_path('public_html');
});
