I am trying to delete a record from my database using laravel but i find Sorry, the page you are looking for could not be found

This is my controller

public function index($value)
{
    $findRecord = marks::findOrFail($value);
    $findRecord->delete();
    $data['data']=DB::table('student_Registrations')->get();
return view('marks',$data);
}

this is my route

 Route::resource('deleteRecord/{value}','deleterecordController');

the record is not deleted from the database
