Laravel showing image

I am using Laravel 5.7. I have successfully uploaded and stored in a database. Looking in my directory I can see(Windows 10) that it is in the correct place beneath the root:

storage\app\images\continents\icons

If I try to show it even though my line resolves to:

http://localhost:8000/storage/app/images/continents/icons/cc001f7733c9a5ab4941cefa2d50bde1.jpg

I just get a 404 error.

It is most certainly there.
