In PHP, how to create a Purchase in Shopify?

I am able to generate Checkouts (Carts) for users in Shopify, but I can't even find out how to create a purchase for a user who has provided their CC info (manually or as a token). I know I'm supposed to show the work I've done but I don't even know where to begin unfortunately.
