IIS 8, Laravel 5 and .NET WebAPI 2 routing

I have a Laravel app hosted on Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8. The app is accessible as http://myapp. I also have some API written in .NET that I would like to have accessible on http://myapp/api. The problem is that Laravel always handles the request.

I was trying to solve this by using URL Rewrite module but to no avail (I'm a .NET beginner).
