Laravel Homestead | how work local with VueJS and DB Migration

I did just setup a Laravel project with Homestead, so my database is on the virtual machine. If I wanna migrate my migrations data I've to do this on my virtual machine, same for VueJS if I wanna run: npm run watch

Is there a way to handle those things locally instead on the virtual machine?
