Laravel Cashier multiple plans

I want to leverage the multiple plans feature of Stripe. Unfortunately Laravel Cashier still doesn't support it.
Well asking google for that topic, I noticed that I'm not the only one missing this but I wasn't able to find a package which would add this feature.
Is there some kind of best practice or a package, which I didn't find?
The alternative would obviously be to either modify Cashier by myself or implement a "new" solution without cashier.
