Should I use service provider?

I am trying to fetch the latest price through API. Everything is working fine but I need to improve user interface.

Right now the ajax request is taking so much time to return the response after fetching the price. Actually the price is update after each 10 to 15 minutes (Not confirm actually).

So I want to fetch the price on the execution of controller and then store into session. So should I use service provider? Kindly guide me about that. Thank you so much
