Hi i am developing a small cms in php/laravel i am trying to implement change theme functionality like in wordpress but can not figure it out for right now my plan is that i am saving current theme name in a database field and in a local cookies so when i change the theme it just change the name in database and that folder file will change but my main problem database option is slow and not work that well so can some one please help me to figure how this can be done , i like if someone can explain how wordpress change theme is happening behind the hood.
