Lumen or laravel for mobile app api development

I want to create an api for a social network application like instagram.

I don't need any kind of web and blade stuff in laravel, just pure fast api.

But can lumen handle requests and load of something like instagram?

I need to use mongodb, mysql databases, also lots of laravel packages and repositories.

So the real question is it a good choice to use lumen over laravel for this kind of api development?

FYI: I'll use oauth for authenticating users, and won't be using session's i believe, and it should be fast.
