It seems like the most secure way of specifying login credentials to a mysql database is through the mysql_config_editor method, explained here: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-config-editor.html
Is it possible to instruct Laravel to use this method? Rather than storing my mysql credentials in the .env
file, I would prefer to store them in this encrypted .mylogin.cnf
file. Then, in the .env
file, I could specify which 'login path' should be used to connect.
Is there a built in way to do this in Laravel?
