Actually, I am working on a project to create a POS system, during the planning I am facing a problem for the algorithm to be followed. Now as a POS system has different transactions or you can say sales. So we store these sales in the database. But as time progresses the tables get populated, so will not this make our program slow as the tables will get bigger, So should we export the tables every year to some other place from the database so that the database becomes empty for new entries. Or what logic should we come up with to make the system efficient for queries also with the record on the computer?
